Differences between diaphragm compressors and conventional compressors

This feature allows diaphragm compressors to excel in applications where high pressure compression is required while allowing for small discharge volumes.

The differences between diaphragm compressors and conventional compressors are mainly in the areas of compression, sealing components, discharge pressure and volume, as well as areas of application.

Compression and sealing components: ordinary compressors usually move the piston to compress the gas, the piston through the piston ring sealing, but can not guarantee complete sealing, there is a risk of leakage. The diaphragm compressor, on the other hand, compresses and transports gases through the reciprocating motion of the diaphragm in the cylinder. The diaphragm is clamped along the periphery by two limiting plates and forms a cylinder, and the diaphragm is driven by mechanical or hydraulic pressure to reciprocate within the cylinder, thus realizing the compression and transport of gases. Diaphragm compressor The diaphragm of the diaphragm compressor is driven by hydraulic oil, which pushes the diaphragm to reciprocate to compress the gas, so the diaphragm compressor has only static sealing, which avoids the leakage of compressed gas.

Discharge Pressure and Volume: Diaphragm compressors have relatively high discharge pressures, up to 1500 bar to 2000 bar, and relatively small discharge volumes. This feature allows diaphragm compressors to excel in applications where high pressure compression is required while allowing for small discharge volumes.

Areas of application: Due to their unique advantages, diaphragm compressors have a wide range of applications in specific fields. For example, diaphragm compressors are ideal when compressed gases are not allowed to leak or when gases are not allowed to be contaminated. In addition, diaphragm compression is the highest level of compression in the field of gas compression, which provides very good protection of the quality of the gas being compressed, and is usually applied to flammable and explosive gases, toxic gases, Oxygen and other specialty gases at high pressures.

In summary, diaphragm compressors, through their unique compression method and sealing mechanism, show significant advantages in avoiding gas leakage and contamination, providing high pressure compression, etc., and are suitable for special application scenarios with high requirements on gas quality.
